Muted Jewel Tones
What do you get when you have jazz, folk, vaudeville, drinking songs, cowboys, train murder, and blend it all together with beautiful three part harmony? The original voices of The Muted Jewel Tones! Sandy, Rose, and Raena have been making music together since they met in high school. These SF natives hit if off, studying music together and trying to wrap their collective heads around how many different kinds of music they can make in one, single band.
Now that they still don’t have a clue, they play everything from public fairs to private theater shows. TMJT enchants audiences young and old with their original arrangements of classic jazz standards or their theatrical original numbers with more thrilling original choreography. If you are lucky enough to catch one of their shows be sure to stick around for a drinking song or a sing along.
Not to brag, but the Tones have played at The Lost Church theater in San Francisco’s Mission District, the established Club Deluxe in the Haight and the Uptown Theater in Oakland. Along with all of the various bars and dives on their roster, they have graced the stage of the HopMonk Tavern in Sebastobol as well as the Lafayette Town Hall Theater opening for comedian Will Durst.
